Tube Lines has cut its carbon footprint by 6.75% by reducing its CO2 emissions by just over 5,250 tonnes. Working with the Carbon Trust the company hit this milestone at the end of 2008 as a result of implementing 28 energy, materials, waste and fuel saving initiatives. The commitment to low carbon is set to continue through 2009 with the company setting a new objective, to lighten its footprint by a further 1,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
