Scottish Executive to probe hospital tariffs

A review of hospital parking charges in Scotland has been ordered by Scottish health secretary Nicola Sturgeon. She said the review would also apply to private facilities, such as the multi-storey car park at Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

The review was prompted by the introduction of parking charges at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde hospitals. Health workers were angered by parking charges of up to £7 a day at city hospitals (PR Sept).
