The Government has explained how planning applications for major transport projects in England will be determined following the demise of the Infrastructure Planning Commission.
Decisions on applications will still be determined within 12 months (six months for examination, three months for a recommendation by the major infrastructure planning unit, and three months for a decision by the Secretary of State).
