Much of Shropshire’s evening and Sunday commercial bus network could disappear if the council goes ahead with plans to withdraw support for tendered services, local operator Arriva has warned.
Shropshire had planned to withdraw all support for evening and Sunday services, a move that would save the council £180,000 a year. But Arriva has said that, if supported services are withdrawn, it will not be viable to keep depots open for commercial services.
