Chiltern Railways has developed a ticketing system that enables passengers to buy, instantly receive and validate tickets through an application on their mobile phone.
The system, officially launched at Marylebone station on 11 May, allows passengers that arrive at a station without a ticket to get through the barrier in “seconds”, without having to queue at ticket offices or contact a call centre, says Chiltern.
