Elaine Holt is to join National Express in January as a rail bid director after failing to agree a new contract with the government’s Directly Operated Railway (DOR) subsidiary. Holt, who is chairman of both DOR and its East Coast rail operation, was previously bid director at FirstGroup. After winning the First Capital Connect (FCC) contract she was appointed managing director of FCC, prior to joining DOR.
