Greenwich Council is seeking a second contractor to complete the refurbishment of two foot tunnels under the River Thames that has suffered severe delays. The Royal Borough is also seeking to recover the additional costs of completing the project from the previous contractors, Dean & Dyball Civil Engineering, Messrs Sweett and Hyder Consulting – through litigation if need be – for the work that started in March 2010 and was to be completed within 12 months.
