Plans to make lorry designs safer and more aerodynamic risk becoming bogged down in the EU, the Freight Transport Association has warned.
A European Commission working group met last week to discuss proposals to amend EU Directive 96/53, which covers the weights and dimensions of lorries. The group includes representatives of the UK Government, Transport for London and the Freight Transport Association.
