Scotland’s transport minister Keith Brown has asked officials to investigate the feasibility of running tram-train vehicles between Glasgow Central and Glasgow Airport via the existing rail network and a new airport spur line.
The idea is to be recommended in the imminent final report of the Glasgow Airport strategic transport network study led by Glasgow Airport with support from Transport Scotland, Renfrewshire Council and Glasgow City Council.
