The five Tees Valley local authorities have published plans for establishing a combined authority to oversee transport and economic development.
The CA, which needs Parliamentary approval, would cover: Darlington, Stockton, Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland, and Hartlepool unitary authorities. The area already has a Local Enterprise Partnership – Tees Valley Unlimited – and the authorities have a long history of joint working.
