A 1,000-mile network of cycleways could be created in the corridor of HS2 under plans being explored by the DfT.
Consultant Royal HaskoningDHV was appointed in December 2013 to conduct initial feasibility work on a cycleway in the London to West Midlands corridor and on to Manchester and Leeds (LTT 18 Dec 13).
The DfT has now appointed Royal HaskoningDHV to undertake a second stage of work. Consultant Phil Jones Associates worked on the initial study and is also involved in stage two.
