Allhallows was a tired 1960s car park that faced demolition. However, Bedford Borough Council had a vision for it becoming a gateway to the town centre. This vision was realised by Makers Construction, which has an ongoing partnership with the authority.
Allhallows was constructed in two distinct periods; the East car park and main stair core were built in 1960 and the West section in 1962. The two parts of the car park are separated by a 25mm movement joint.
