Newham to re-tender highway contracts after legal tangle

The London Borough of Newham is to reprocure a highways contract after the tender became mired in controversy.

In July, Sir Robin Wales, Newham’s directly elected Labour mayor, approved the award of contracts for three Lots:

1. Planned and reactive maintenance – FM Conway

2. Construction of improvement schemes – FM Conway

3. Professional services – Project Centre
