Transport for London has made permanent two trial 20mph speed limits on sections of the Transport for London Road Network in the City of London. Eighteen month experimental traffic orders were used to introduce the 20mph limits in July 2014 on the Bishopsgate and Farringdon corridors. The trial period ended last month. TfL says average speeds fell by “almost 1mph across the two routes”....
