ABERDEENSHIRE COUNCIL and the North East Scotland transport partnership (Nestrans) will make a submission to Network Rail’s Scottish Stations Fund (SSF) this summer for a contribution towards a new rail station at Kintore, on the Inverness to Aberdeen line.
Kintore lies about 13 miles north of Aberdeen city centre and four miles south of Inverurie and is the fastest growing town in Aberdeenshire.
