Conservative-controlled Cheshire East Council is to consult on £1.576m of cuts to the area’s supported bus network, which would reduce expenditure from £3.641m this year to £2.065m in 2018/19. The council’s preferred option includes withdrawing all support for evening and Sunday services, which the council says are less used than weekday services.
