Coventry City Council is to introduce average speed cameras on two main roads: London Road, between Allard Way and the A46, and the A4600 Ansty Road. The council says inappropriate speed appears to be a contributory factor for some recent accidents on both roads. Coventry will become the third of the seven metropolitan districts in the West Midlands to make use of average speed cameras, following on from Birmingham and Solihull.
