MPs have voiced doubts about whether London’s east-west Crossrail railway will even open in 2020 and say further funding may be necessary to complete the troubled project.
The central tunnel section of the east-west Crossrail project had been due to open last December but Crossrail Ltd announced in August last year that the project was running behind schedule and the tunnel would not open until autumn 2019.
