Transport for London is continuing to subsidise trips on London’s Santander cycle hire scheme by about £1 per journey. The average income per hire has fallen from £1.12 in 2015/16 to £1.09 in 2017/18, a figure that is not expected to change in 2018/19 and 2019/20.
