Driver who declined speed awareness course landed with £9,000 bill

A driver who declined the offer of a speed awareness course has been landed with a bill of almost £9,000 after failing to convince two courts that he wasn't speeding.

Nicholas Davies was found guilty of driving his BMW at 38mph in a 30mph zone in August 2017, on the A546 Glan-Y-Mor Road, Deganwy, Conwy, by Magistrates in Caernarfon last July.
