Councillors on a scrutiny board in Leeds have recommended the council trials allowing powered two wheelers to use bus lanes, despite council officers expressing reservations.
The councillors have called for a time-limited trial in a suitable area, with the trial developed in conjunction with Leeds Motorcycle Action Group. Unusually, the final decision on whether to authorise the trial rests with an officer, Leeds’ director of city development, Martin Farrington.
