The London Borough of Hillingdon wants to expand the coverage of the Santander Cycles dock-based bike hire scheme that operates at Brunel University, Hillingdon Hospital and in Uxbridge town centre. “This scheme is one of the most well-used schemes of its kind in the country with each bike having an average of three hires a day,” Jean Palmer, Hillingdon’s deputy chief executive, told councillors.
