The Sheffield City Region Combined Authority is to appoint a climate change commissioner to lead work on achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2040, including cutting travel demand by 25 per cent by 2030.
The combined authority has employed consultant Ricardo to assess the conurbation’s future emissions.
