The devolved administrations of Scotland and Northern Ireland have reacted angrily to Boris Johnson’s decision not to invovle them in the investigations of a fixed link between Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Officials in Whtitehall are looking at the concept, which could be a bridge, a tunnel, or even a hybrid design. Johnson told the Commons last week: “We will bring forward proposals in due course.”
