E-scooter rental firm Voi is paying West Midlands Police to enforce e-scooter laws in the Birmingham trial area.
Voi has the contract for all e-scooter trials in the conurbation and the Birmingham scheme went live last month (LTT 18 Sep). It also operates in Northampton where Northamptonshire Police is stepping up e-scooter enforcement, though this is not paid for by Voi.
