UK Power Networks has completed a new electricity connection to Camberwell bus depot in south London to support a fleet of 34 battery electric buses. A new 1,000kVA (Kilo-volt-amperes) transformer has been installed to provide additional power at the garage, which is operated by Abellio London. Twenty-four of the buses will be used on the C10 (Canada Water to Victoria) route and ten on the P5 (Elephant & Castle to Drury House).
