The Welsh Government has set up a team in Transport for Wales to take forward the recommendations of the South East Wales Transport Commission.
The final report of the commission, chaired by Lord Burns, was published in November. It recommended a major investment in rail services, including several new stations on the South Wales Main Line between Severn Tunnel Junction and Cardiff (LTT 27 Nov 20).
