Fare paying passengers on commercial bus routes in the UK now stand at 78% of pre-pandemic levels, according to new figures from the bus industry think tank The Ten Per Cent Club. Data from bus operators for the week ending 5 February show that fare payer numbers on tendered bus routes are at 70% compared with the same week in 2020 just before the Covid-19 pancemic started to impact on travel patterns.
