Unlimited free bus travel for concessionary pass holders should be replaced with a £1 flat fare, according to the leader of the Welsh Local Government Association.
The comment by Andrew Morgan comes as the sustainability of bus funding and services is under scrutiny across the UK. Commentators have observed that entitlement to free bus travel is of no use if there are no longer buses available.
