Stagecoach has won all three of the main contracts offered in the second tranche of bus franchising in Greater Manchester, which cover the north-east of the metropolitan area. To provide the services Stagecoach will operate 87 routes with 349 buses.
The group will run thecservices from 24 March 2024 for five years, with two optional extensions of one year each. Smaller franchise contracts under the latest awards have gone to Rotala-owned Diamond Bus North West (DBNW), and First Manchester.
