Tesla is to lay off more than 10% of its global electric vehicle workforce. Tesla had 140,473 employees globally as of December, according to its latest annual report, which means around 14,000 people will lose their jobs.
In a memo emailed staff, the EV manufacturer’s owner Elon Musk wrote that the company had no choice but to reduce its headcount.
