Stonehenge should be on ‘danger list’ due to road scheme, says UNESCO

The Stonehenge and Avebury World Heritage Site is in danger because of the threat from the proposed A303 road scheme, according to UNESCO.

A draft decision from the UN organisation’s World Heritage Committee states that the A303 scheme “constitutes a potential threat which, if implemented, would have ascertained negative impacts on the attributes, authenticity and integrity of the property.”
