National Highways has published a five-year Post Opening Project Evaluation (POPE) for a congestion relieving project, but was unable to compare forecast and observed traffic to ascertain whether the project achieved all of its expected benefits.
The corridor around M25 Junction 30 and the A13 was improved to relieve congestion. Works included two new segregated left turn lanes and widening of part of the A13 in each direction. The scheme opened in March 2017.
