The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) has announced changes that will mean Standard category B licence holders will be able to drive electric vans without additional training.
Currently, the additional weight of batteries in electric vans means they face additional regulations because they are classified as 4.25 tonne vehicles despite them being the same size, and being used in the same way, as “standard” 3.5 tonne vans.
