Most bus operators in the UK are not making the necessary profit margets to meet their financial obligations, according to the annual analysis of the sector by industry expert Chris Cheek.
The new edition of Bus Industry Performance analyses the performance of 107 operators in 2017/18.
Reporting a “difficult year” for the sector, Cheek cites:
passengers down 0.6% in London, 2% in English PTE areas, 2.3% in English shires, 3.3% in Wales, and 3.5% in Scotland
