The congestion stream of the Transport Innovation Fund should be opened up to many more authorities than just those prepared to implement road pricing, says the House of Commons' transport committee.
"In the face of severe funding pressure we do not accept that congestion TIF guidance should, in effect, restrict the availability of funds for much needed improvements in transport infrastructure to only those authorities that will consider local road pricing schemes," say the MPs....
