Catherine Mason is leaving Arriva after seven years to become chief executive of Translink, Northern Ireland’s state-owned bus and train operator.
Mason’s appointment was announced last week by the board of the Northern Ireland Transport Holding Company (NITHC), which oversees Translink and its subsidiary companies - Northern Ireland Railways, Ulsterbus and Citybus. The role has been vacant since the departure of Keith Moffatt 12 months ago.
