Roy Wicks, director general of South Yorkshire PTE and chair of the Passenger Transport Executive Group, will retire next March after 10 years working in South Yorkshire and 40 years in the public sector. Neil Scales, chief executive of Merseytravel PTE, will take over as chair of PTEG from January next year.
