A pay-as-you-drive insurance scheme, which was seen by some observers as offering insights into the practicality of nationwide road pricing, has been abandoned because not enough people signed up.
Norwich Union, which launched the UK's first pay-as-you-go motor insurance policy in October 2006 (LTT 18 Oct 06), has announced that it is to 'pause' the scheme with immediate effect.
