Transport authorities are being urged to heed rising sales of powered two wheelers as people seek cheaper alternatives to cars. The Motor Cycle Industry Association (MCI) says UK sales of PTWs were 22% higher last month than in July 2007 and says a trend towards everyday bikes is emerging, with scooter and moped sales increasing by almost 27% and 35% respectively. MCI?spokesman Simon Small said PTW owners needed places to park bikes securely, with ground anchors provided....
