Blackpool profits dip as resort visitor numbers drop

Bus and tram operator Blackpool Transport Services suffered an 18.2% drop in operating profits in the 52 weeks ended March 30 2008, according to the company’s annual accounts.

The company operates a fleet of 184 vehicles on a network of local bus services throughout the Fylde Coast under the Metro Coastlines brand, together with the historic tram fleet on the promenade route from Starr?Gate to Fleetwood.
