Irish transport minister, Noel Dempsey, has signalled a "fundamental review" of state-owned bus companies Dublin Bus and Bus Éireann.
The announcement follows an assessment of how the two operators provide bus services across Ireland, and whether the resources (buses, people and funding) currently available to the companies are used in the most effective and efficient way.
