megabus.com, the Stagecoach-owned budget inter-city coach service, has attracted one million passengers in North America in the past six months as the airline and car industries are hit by the economic downturn.
Sales at megabus.com in North America grew by 183% between 1 May 2008 and 30 April 2009 and it has now carried more than 3 million passengers since its launch in April 2006.
