Adonis looking at stripping National Express of remaining franchises?

National Express could loose both its c2c and East Anglia rail franchises in the wake of government plans to take control of the troubled East Coast franchise, transport minister Lord Adonis has warned.

In a statement to the House of Lords yesterday afternoon, Adonis said: "National Express also operates rail services on the East Anglia main line and associated commuter routes. The company has said that it does not intend to default on its obligations in respect of these franchises....
