SEStran forced to fund Borders RTPI

The South East Scotland Transport Partnership has stepped in to fund  real-time passenger information at bus stops in the Scottish Borders, after the local council refused to commit any cash to the project.

SEStran recently secured £199,000 of European Regional Development Fund grant towards the project in a bid that assumed Scottish Borders Council would contribute £275,110 and SEStran the remaining £37,271.

But Scottish Borders has now told SEStran it cannot provide...
