Plans by the Dutch Government to introduce a national road pricing scheme have been delayed.
In 2007 the Dutch Government said that it had “passed the point of no return” and that the first phase of the scheme, covering lorries, would be introduced in 2011 (LTT 6 Dec 07).
But a Dutch Ministry of Transport spokesman this week told LTT that the first phase of introduction would not now take place in 2011, owing mainly to what he described as “risks associated with the tendering...
