Cambridgeshire County Council’s cabinet is to meet next week to discuss an officer recommendation that the council should respond to the conclusions of Cambridgeshire’s Independent Transport Commission by submitting a new Transport Innovation Fund bid to the DfT.
Officers suggest that the plans should contain a proposal for a congestion charging scheme but that it would only be introduced once an appropriate congestion-related ‘trigger point’ was reached.
