Two road improvement schemes to support the Ashford growth area are to be the first projects to benefit from the South East of England’s new Regional Investment Fund (RIF).
The RIF has been set up to forward fund infrastructure projects necessary to support the delivery of new development. The fund pump primes the infrastructure, with funds recovered through the planning system (such as developer contributions or the forthcoming Community Infrastructure Levy).
