Capital plans membership scheme to encourage electric vehicle use

Transport for London and London Councils are drawing up plans for a London-wide membership scheme for electric vehicle users.

The scheme, to be managed by TfL, would give electric vehicle (EV) access to a network of 2,500 publicly accessible charging points across the capital. Five hundred will be located on-street and the remaining 2,000 at places such as train stations, commercial car parks and supermarkets.
