Parking attendants in Glasgow may soon be enforcing bus lane rules if a plan put before the Scottish government is accepted.

The city council wants responsibility for bus lane enforcement to be transferred from Strathclyde police to the local authority. This would improve service to the travelling public, and the council.

Ministers will consider whether control of bus lanes should be decriminalised and handed over to the council. If Glasgow council gets the go-ahead, CCTV will monitor bus...
